When researching the rap and hip hop genre, my perception of the genre has changed. Orginally I thought it was artists rapping about the same issues, guns, violence, crime, money, girls. Yet when listening and researching to see what was best to do for our video, I have found that many artists are trying to get a message across about their lives or issues that concern them. This can be seen in artists such as Eminem's song; Hayley is a song he did about his daughter.
I made a moodboard of a few pictures and ideas I thought represented the rap genre, including the first ever commerical rapper that came across the music industry.
