Norms of a rap music video.

The Performer in our Music Video

Our song changed to a song written and performed by 'Jester' in a completely different genre to our intial ideas. This song is based on a performer from South London and is in a group called 'The Unit' which is locally known and has many views on YouTube. They are trying to pursure careers in the music industry and have recently been on the music channel AKA.

We asked Shaq (Jester) if he would help us in such a short notice and when he said yes, we planned around this and got many ideas which we brainstormed.

IDEAS:

-Film at locations that have no specific meaning due to the song being general.

-Think about other performers for the music video

-No narrative, all performance

Change in intial ideas.

We first choose to produce a music video for the song 'Bombay Bicycle Club - Always Like This'.  As our deadline was appoaching, my group decided to split as half of the group were not putting in enough effort and turning up to filming when need be. We also had a problem with taking out cameras from school as they were not being brought back by certain members in our group, Marialucia and myself decided to change our ideas and form a group by ourselves. We planned and found new performers for a totally different song and organised ourselves well in the time given. When returning to college after planning, the other half of our former group were still struggling so we offered them the option to work with us, if we all put in the effort equally and got the music video down.
